— Dr. Janus Ong, you tell your patients and all of us that blood vessels make up 90% of a person's health. Why is that?
The liver is a very important organ for the human body because it is responsible for performing many important functions:
The liver processes and removes toxic substances from the blood, including drugs and alcohol, by converting these substances into less toxic or easily eliminated forms.
The liver helps maintain hormonal balance in the body, including metabolizing and eliminating excess hormones.
The liver produces many important proteins such as albumin (which helps maintain osmotic pressure in the blood) and clotting factors necessary for normal blood clotting.
Stores vitamins and minerals: The liver stores vitamins (such as vitamins A, D, B12) and minerals (such as iron and copper), helping to maintain stores of these substances in the body.

Liver disease can present with many different signs and symptoms. Below are some detailed manifestations of liver problems:

— Yellow skin and eyes
